Pumpkin Pies
from the kitchen of
Cindy Craig, Ketchikan, Alaska
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 3 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. Cloves
  • 1 tsp. Allspice
  • 1 tsp. Ginger
  • 1 tsp. Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 4 Eggs beaten
  • 1 Can plain Pumpkin (1 lb., 13 oz.)
  • 2 Cans Evaporated Milk (12 oz.)

Blend sugar, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, ginger, nutmeg, salt, pumpkin and evaporated milk. Add beaten eggs until smooth. (Mixture will be thin).

Pour into 2 unbaked pie shells and bake 15 minutes at 425° and then lower the temperature to 350° and bake another 45 minutes.
